Craughwell AC had a strong turnout of senior and junior athletes at day 1 of the Galway Senior T&F in Dangan on Thursday night. Representing our senior side of things Peter O'Sullivan, Mark Davis, Rachel Finnegan and Sarah Finnegan were all in action while there was a great turnout of juniors from the club with Katie O'Donoghue, Maireád McCan, Jessica Heneghan, Claire Ryder, Peadar Harvey, Finn Stoneman, Paul Joyce, Neil Greaney, Nicholas Sheehan, John Cormican, Damien O'Boyle and Jamie Spellman.

I will post full results when they come to hand but verbal reports indicate a big battle between Nicholas and Peadar at the front of the junior 800m with Nicholas just shading it on this occasion. And in the sprints, Katie won the Galway 100m title in 12.8s and Maireád took the long jump title with 4.96m. Katie and Maireád combined with Jessica and Claire to win the senior 4x100m comfortably in a time of 52.2.
