On another sunny evening, athletics powerhouse Paul McNamara brought home the troops in the final race of the 2007 Galway 5K Series. It was a fitting end as Paul was one of the principle drivers behind this years series.
There was an excellent showing from Craughwell AC - special mention must go to Shane O'Halloran who put in an exceptional run. It was basially a cross-country run, and this terrain is home turf to Shane.
Another strong run was put in by Erno from Loughrea who was one of the few that set a pb on this tough course - managing to pip Rhuaidri Geraghty by clinching second.
There is a poll on the left menu where people can indicate which race they enjoyed the most this year.
Well done to the organisers on an exceptional series - our summer is well and truly kick-started - roll on next year!!
