There has been a change to the dates for the National finals of juvenile and novice cross country. National Cross Country Uneven Ages and Novices: This will be held on SATURDAY THE 9TH DEC 2006 AT 12.0 NOON IN ATHLONE I.T. The original plans for Dundalk on the 10th Dec are now scrapped. Craughwell AC had a huge turnout in the juvenile cross-country races at the Palace Grounds in Tuam last Sunday. A pleasant day ensued with none of the heavy mucky ground one might normally associate with cross country running.

Well done to the club's athletes who took part in the Connacht Primary Schools cross-country at Beleek Castle in Ballina last Saturday. There were some fantastic results, particularly for Craughwell NS who won the 3rd/4th class girls 800m and 5th/6th class girls 1000m team events. Linda Porter (Ballymana NS) equalled the club's best ever performance individually by taking the silver medal in the 5th/6th class girls 1000m.
