Senior Round-up

It's been a fantastic month for the senior division, capped off by yesterdays Dublin Marathon.  I have been falling well behind on updating the website in recent weeks and I have pictures galore on my camera that I need to upload to the site. Craughwell juveniles to the fore in Dartfield

Craughwell juveniles to the fore in Dartfield

The equine slopes of Dartfield played host to day two of the Galway cross-country juvenile championships at the weekend. The normally peaceful Sunday afternoons enjoyed by the Dartfield horses was temporarily disturbed as the next generation of Galway athletics stars commenced their U11 800m race at 1pm. The sun shone brightly on the Palace Grounds in Tuam for the first day of the Galway cross-country for the juvenile even age groups. Well done to Tuam AC for hosting a very successful event on a superb cross-country circuit. And for the 2nd year running, the race organisers used their good connections to arrange for the Palace Grounds to be smothered in sunshine for the day!
