Craughwell Shine at Galway City Sports

There were some outstanding performances from Craughwell NS and Oranmore Boys Schools at the Galway City Sports on Tuesday in Dangan. This event is probably the highest standard of athletics for primary school children in the county and it is very difficult to get a medal of any colour here.

The club had many fine performances in the Galway Community Games finals recently in Ballinderrin. Each year, more and more athletes from the club are featuring amongst the medal winners in this event. Its a sign of the club's progress since this competition has a much broader representation from across the county than the Galway athletics club competition – as many areas don't have an athletics club and thus don't get to participate.

Younger Athletes on the Way To Tullamore

Good luck to all of Craughwell AC's athletes who are taking part in the U9-12 team competition and relays at the weekend in Tullamore. As has become the norm, our young athletes did us proud in the Connacht finals with many athletes qualifying for the National finals with some trememdous performances, bringing home more medals than any other Connacht club.
