Great Performances at Connacht U9-12 Track & Field

Craughwell AC’s younger athletes put in some fantastic performances at last weekend’s Connacht track and field in Dangan, culminating with a big performance in the relays where the club won a medal in each of the 8 relay races. Craughwell Seniors Victorious in the Banner County

Craughwell’s senior track & field team kept up their preparations last week for the club’s debut in the National League this coming weekend. Craughwell Athletes Help Pres Athenry to National Title!

     The Pres  Athenry captured the Junior Girls trophy at the Irish Schools Track & Field finals in Tullamore on Saturday. With some terrific perfomances, Craughwell AC's Claire Ryder, Jessica Heneghan, Maria McNamara and Sinead Gaffney combined with GCH's Alanna Lally to lift the coveted award for best school.

didn't see this result anywhere so just thought I'd post it.  Fastest man in Galway –  Gary Thornton of GCH finished in 13th position with a time of 30:22 in the Europa cup on Saturday.  We are getting used to Gary setting a pb almost every time he laces his spikes so he likely won't be too thrilled with this one as though it's an awesome time it's well away from the form he's been showing recently.  Still it's been a…

Well done to Peter o sullivan on his first victory ! peter stormed the new Dangan course and finished in a time of 16:34.
