Silly Season is upon us!

Silly Season is upon us!

It’s that time of year again where it’s almost impossble to dirve anywhere in the west without coming across roads closed off for racing!  The highlight event of the summer was of course last weekend in Galway City with the smashing performances all around in the 25th edition of the Streets of Galway.  Being crocked I marshalled a corner and couldn’t believe the size of the crowd that breezed past me.  Keep an eye out also on John O’Connor’s Website…

Big Performances at National Multi-Events Championships

Craughwell AC had some magnificent performances at the National Multi-Events Championships in Tullamore last weekend. On Saturday, Maria McNamara was in superb form in the U16 Girls Pentathlon where she claimed the silver medal with an impressive score of 2751 points across the five events – 1.50m high jump, 4.68m long jump, 13.96 80m hurdles, 6.63m shot putt and 2.46.64 800m.
