 The 2nd day of the Galway cross country juvenile championships took place on Sunday in Loughrea AC’s fantastic Bushfield facility. This hidden gem on the Loughrea to Bullaun road is an absolutely fabulous venue for a cross country, with perfect conditions and bone-dry ground underneath and a healthy cover of grass preventing it becoming muddy, you could not ask for a better cross country venue. News has just reached us from Athletics Ireland HQ that we are officially the second largest club in the country as of the end of September!!!! The 3 largest clubs are:- 1. Galway City Harriers2. Craughwell AC3. By any measure, it was a great day for Galway senior athletics in Loughrea today.   The club cross country season kicked off last Sunday with the even ages groups held in the Palace Grounds in Tuam.
