Valerie Glavin finshed second in an IAU indoor event in Finland over the weekend to set a new Irish Record for the 24h distance.  The winner set a new world record for the event. Craughwell AC Hails New National Champion!!

It was a fantastic weekend for Maria McNamara in the National U17 Indoor Pentathlon on Saturday when she recorded an incredible 4 personal bests to win the National title with an impressive points total of 2790 points. This was almost 400 points better than she had recorded the previous weekend in the National Junior Pentathlon which doubled up as a training session for this event. Rachel Finnegan retained her National Junior Indoor Pentathlon title at the weekend with a fine performance in Nenagh, particularly impressing in the 60m hurdles where she broke the 10 second barrier for the first time with a time of 9.99s. The AGM of Craughwell AC's junior/juvenile section will take place on Wednesday 26th January at 8.30pm in the upstairs meeting room in St. Michael's Hall.
