1:54.62 for Leitrim’s Daire Farrell in 800m!

1:54.62 for Leitrim’s Daire Farrell in 800m!

Just a result that caught my eye at the weekend was the performance of Carrick-on-Shannon's Daire Farrell in the AAI Games 800m where he won the B race in a time of 1:54.62 and in the process just ducked under the qualifying standard of 1:55.0 for the European Youth Oympics this summer. Well done Daire and to Carrick-on-Shannon AC! Its a phenomenal time for an U17 to run and great for Connacht athletics! Westport AC's David Harper was unlucky not…

Ennis Track Open Sports is coming up next Sunday 22nd May at noon. While for our older juveniles its a bit close to the Galway U12-19 track & field the previous day, its ideal for our younger athletes if they want another day out at a track and field. And of course for any seniors wishing to have a go at track & field. Check out the program at:- http://www.craughwellac.com/images/stories/2011/outdoors/ennistrackopensports2011.pdf

Big Turnout at Craughwell Community Games

Big Turnout at Craughwell Community Games
