The club will be organising a trip for secondary school and college athletes to Glasgow next February to participate in the Scottish National Indoor Championships. The club have travelled each year for the last number of years to these championships and they have proven to be a great experience for the athletes. Craughwell Athletes Help Galway Retain Premier Division Status

  A number of Craughwell AC members helped Galway retain their Premier Division status in the National League finals in Tullamore at the weekend where the team finished in 6th place. Maeve Curley raced to victory in the 1500m walk in a time of 6.50.81 while Cathriona Farrell took 2nd place in the high jump with a leap of 1.70m, up against senior record holder Deirdre Ryan who jumped 1.85. National Community Games Finals

Several members of Craughwell AC competed in the National finals of the Community Games which were held in Athlone at the weekend. Maria McNamara finished in 5th place in the U16 girls high jump and combined with Maireád McCan, Sineád Gaffney, Ellen Fitzpatrick and Gabrielle Tobin to qualify for the U16 relay final where they finished in 6th place. It was another good weekend for a number of Craughwell AC athletes who were in action at the National Conbined Events Championships in Tullamore.
