Superb Craughwell AC Performances at Day 1 of County XC Championships

A very quick update on yesterday’s Galway cross country. It was another fantastic day for the club with victory in the U12 girls team event, silver in the boys, victory in the U14, 16 and 18 boys team events and second place in the mens team. Galway Cross Country Details

The club cross country season kicks off Sunday 7th Oct with the county juvenile even ages and junior/senior cross country championships in Loughream followed by day 2 for the uneven ages on Sunday 21st Oct at the same venue.   Three past-pupils of Craughwell NS (all representing the Pres Athenry) travelled to Morton Stadium last weekend for the Irish Schools Pentathlon Championships where Katie O’Donoghue put in an exceptional performance to win the Irish Senior Girls title with a score of 2709 points (100m hurdles 16.80, 4kg shot putt 8.30m, long jump 4.55m, high jump 1.61m, 800m 2.45.67).
