The 36th annual Ballycotton 10 took place on Sunday March 3rd. The Ballycotton 10 is a 10 mile road race which has been running since 1977 and is the oldest official run in Ireland. Running in the Intermediate Boys 5000m at the Irish Schools cross country in Belfast, Jamie Fallon-Spellman put in his biggest performance yet in cross country to place 6th at this highest level of youth distance running and in the process secured his place on the Irish team for the international schools cross country in a few weeks time.
