A 2 hour presentation on nutrition will be given by Shane Fitzgibbon in Craughwell Community Centre next Monday night January 27th from 8pm to 10pm, Shane is a world champion kick-boxer, a black belt in taekwon-do and the author of the book “Training and Optimal Health for Sports” published in 2013. The presentation has been organized by Craughwell GAA who have extended an invitation to the other local sports clubs to attend. Cathriona Farrell was in superb form at the Galway Indoors at the weekend where she cleared a new PB of 1.80m. The jump ranks her 5th on the all-time Irish indoor list, a remarkable achievement and just a taste of what’s ahead. Cathriona sailed over 1.65m, 1.70m and 1.75m on her first attempt. Some of Craughwell AC’s U13 athletes chilling out at the Galway Indoors in AIT Craughwell AC’s juveniles and parents relocated en masse to Athlone IT’s fantastic indoor arena last Saturday for the Galway Indoor Championships. Well done to everyone on a massive performance at yesterday’s Galway track and field in AIT International Arena.
