U8s and First Class training

Craughwell Athletic Club’s U8 and First Class training group starts back this Thursday 18th Sept at 5.45pm at the Astroturf. Children are allowed to attend 3 training sessions to see if they like it and then must register on the 3rd night if staying at it. Registration forms will be handed out on the 2nd night. Well done Jamie!

Congratulations to Jamie Fallon who finished in 62nd place in a time of 55.02 at the World Mountain Running Championships which were held in Tuscany, Italy today over 8.4km of mountain terrain. Most of the competitors were 1 or 2 years older than Jamie so it was a massive performance to be competing out of age at this level. Well done Jamie! Jason to the fore with new 5k pb

Well done to Jason Broderick who has come out fighting after yet another injury struck year.  He was never too far from the front of the nearly 4000 athletes in the Grant Thornton 5k in Dublin, finishing 4th with a breakthrough new PB of 15:30.  He’s pictured below lining up beside the legendary Cathriona McKiernan. Good on ya Brodders!
