Leevale and Ennis Open Track & Field Meets

Yes another well done to Evan Hallinan who starred in the Leevale Open Track & Field last weekend with a big leap of 1.50m to take high jump gold and 4.33m to take long jump silver and adding bronze in the hurdles for good measure. Congratulations to Evan Hallinan who has being announced as the Galway Athlete of the Year in the U12-15 Boys category for his performances in 2016. Sizzling Success for Sineáds

The 2 Sineáds made a little bit of history for the club at the weekend with both featuring on the podium at the same time but for different teams at the Irish Universities Track & Field Championships in Cork with Sineád Treacy’s NUIG team taking the silver medals in the 4x100m in a time of 49.66 and Sineád Gaffney’s UL team taking the bronze medals just 0.03 seconds (or 24cm!) behind in a time of 49.69.
