Exciting news reached the club this evening with the announcement of the 2017 Sports Capital Grants which included a grant of €72,000 to Craughwell AC towards the provision of an indoor athletics training hall! Huge congratulations to former member of the club Cillian McDaid who is poised to head to the Aussie Rules league. Cillian was a member of the club for many years winning many Galway and Connacht medals and a National silver as part of the Craughwell team in the U12 Boys National Cross-country Championahips in 2012. The club’s next clothes collection will take place on 22nd November. So if doing a pre-Christmas clearout, why not do it early and get it into our recycling facility on our new grounds beside Craughwell NS. As people may know already, the club launched its lotto in early 2016 when invited by Croí to partner on their online lotto. Croí wound-up its lotto earlier this year as it was not working out for them.   So Craughwell AC have now launched its own online lotto which it is hoped will become a strategic fundraiser to help the club develop facilities in the club’s sports and recreation park in Crinnage. The fourth annual Run For Mary – 5km Run/Walk/Jog will be held in Peterswell on Saturday 4th November 2017 at 12 noon.
