William Shatters Club 5k Record in Dangan

William Shatters Club 5k Record in Dangan

It was not exactly perfect conditions as there was a light breeze but uncharacteristically it was blowing at the competitors backs for the home straight rather than in their faces which is always nice – especially in the shorter distances. Highlight performance of the day was definitely William Fitzgerald’s smashing of the long standing club…

Sub-2 Delight for Oisín in Moyne

Sub-2 Delight for Oisín in Moyne

Five Craughwell AC Athletes made the trek to Tipperary to the amazing facility of Moyne AC for their annual Summer Games today. The host club couldn’t have been more welcoming. They have built an absolutely fantastic facility and gives us some idea of what we can realistically have in Craughwell over time, a great credit to all involved. Many of the fields were a little down in numbers on the entry list, but the standard was quite good. One factor…

Super Performances at Galway U16-19 Relays

Super Performances at Galway U16-19 Relays

The Galway relays took place for the older age groups Thursday evening in Dangan. While the need to hold them on a separate evening to the rest of the track and field was due to the pandemic, it actually turned out to be a great way of doing it as it was a short and snappy evening and athletes did not have to hang around all day to wait for relays. Well done to Iain Shaw and Galway County Board…
