Lorraine Delaney had the honour at the weekend of being the first athlete from the club to do her training session on the club’s newly laid 400m tarmacadem track with a session of 6 x 300m. Evan Hallinan Wins Bronze for Ireland!

Round up of an historic weekend which includes an international medal by Evan Hallinan and Jack Miskella Captaining NUIG to Cross-Country glory after 42 years. Host Club Castlegar once again delivered a fantastic day of Cross Country action. They changed venue to a fabulous course in Ballybritt Racecourse and a classic was delivered. A large contingent from the club represented Connacht today in the Taillteann Games – with 9 from the club in action, it was possibly the largest ever representation from the club in this event which features the cream of Irish schools athletics and is used to pick the Irish team for the upcoming international against England, Scotland and Wales. Sprinters to the Fore at National Masters

On Sunday, the National Masters Track & Field Championships took place in Morton Stadium, Santry and a full team of Craughwell AC Veteran Sprinters took part, led by inspirational Coach and mentor Ronnie Warde.  The relays were the highlight of the day with the Craughwell men taking both the 4x100m and 4x400m titles.  In the 4x100m, Cormac Kearney, Ronnie Warde, David Mulligan and Brian Malone flew to victory in 48.72s.  Cormac, Brian and Ronnie were joined by John Walkin to…

Juvenile Membership Renewal and Track Update

Juvenile membership for those on a September renewal cycle is now open, i.e. for those renewing Sept 2021 to Aug 2022. Approximately half the members go by that renewal date as it lines up with the return of schools. You can renew via our clubforce page.
