Craughwell AC Star At National League!

The Craughwell Senior Women’s team had another outstanding day yesterday in round 2 of the National League held in Athlone Indoor Arena. Managed by Sarah Finnegan, the team put in some top-drawer performances across the range of events to qualify for the final in second place on the leaderboard, only 1 point being the leaders – top Dublin club Dundrum South Dublin. William Shines in International Debut

In November William Fitzgeral completely turned around an injury plagued year with an outstanding top-30 finish in the National Cross Country to secure an automatic qualifier spot for his first ever international in Hannut, Belgium as part of the Irish U23 team for the famous Crosscup De Hannuit. Massive congratulations to Conor Penney who was announced last week as the recipient of the Athletics Ireland Juvenile Star Award for County Galway for 2022. Conor is pictured above with his dad Brendan following his National record in the U15 high jump in July.
