Adult Meet and Train Group Starting Tonight!

Adult Meet and Train Group Starting Tonight!

Triona Coppinger, Val Fogarty and Ann Kelly will be coordinating a meet and train session every Wednesday night on the track at Craughwell NS. We won't be using the astroturf because other groups will have it booked on Wednesdays, so only the track.

So if you've recently had a crack at one of the Galway 5K races or at the Women's Mini-Marathon, why not take it further and become a regular runner. You'll be amazed at how much progress you make if you take up running on a regular/consistant basis. And its much much easier to do in a group than doing it on your own.

The meet and train will take place from 8pm to 9pm. It will be split up into 2 or 3 different groups depending on the different levels people are at – whether that be beginner, occasional runner, regular 5k runner or experienced marathoner.

Its open to both men and women, but you must be a member of an athletics club to take part (for insurance purposes). If you did the adult circuit training with Craughwell AC this year, you are already a member for 2007. If not, you will have to join up with a club (unless you already joined earlier in the year). Application forms for Craughwell AC are on the Web at

If coming to the meet and train on Wednesday,  could people please park at the road outside the school to avoid traffic congestion inside the school grounds with groups using the astroturf.

If you've any questions on it, please contact Triona at 087 9776360 or email her at trionacoppinger@eircom.net.
