The South Connacht Schools Track & Field took place in Dangan and Athlone recently where there were many fine performances none more so than Laura Cunningham who leaped to a new PB of 1.57m when winning the Senior Girls High Jump, with Ciana Reidy unlucky to exit at 1.50m. There were impressive 800m times from Ben Garrard and Oisin Lyons in the senior and inter boys categories with times of 2.04 and 2.05 in the warm conditions and from Ben Ryan and Finbarr McFadden in the intermediate 1500m.
The top 4 in the sprints and the top 6 in all other events now progress to the Connacht finals which will be held in Athlone IT this Thursday. Details of qualifiers from the club are as follows:-
