Athletics for first class children will be commencing at the astro turf on Thursday 13^th September from 6pm to 7pm and will take place every Thursday thereafter at that time. Athletics is highly regarded during developmental years for its benefit to all sports in developing speed, agility, coordination and fitness.

Children can try it out for 3 weeks and must register on the third week. Registration costs €75 for 12 months or €200 for 3 or more children from the same family. The club will need parents to volunteer to help as coaches in this age group – otherwise it may not be possible to continue with it as we are short-staffed at present. This will be decided before we hand out registration forms.

Experienced coaches will help in the initial weeks at these sessions and help educate new coaches. Additionally the club encourage and will pay for coaches to attend training courses run by Athletics Ireland. If there are any parents with an interest, please contact Michael Tobin at 087 6591879.
