Running roundup Winter 2018/2019 The Ballindereen 10k was held mid-November incorporating the Galway county 10k Championship. Congratulations to Kevin Mooney who was first overall in the race and to Rena Deely and Mags Treacy winning first and 2nd in their age category all receiving county medals for the 10k distance. Well done to Declan o Leary who completed the Berlin marathon in September- a unique experience competing in the same race that Kipchoge set the world record! Brian Matthews completed the SSE airtricity half marathon in Dublin recently earning another PB for himself this year. County 5k in Caltra- Results

  Great news for the club! A few of our members took part in the county 5k which was held in Caltra mid August. The club is proud to announce that Kevin Mooney placed 2nd male overall and Laura porter was 3rd female overall in a very competitive field. William Fitzgerald, Stephen Carty, John Ward, Noel Gorman and Gerry Treacy also completed the race in great times. Well done to all our members who took part!
