Best of luck to Conor Penney in the European U18s Championships which is taking place this week in Slovakia. Conor travelled yesterday with the team to Slovakia and will be in action at 3pm Friday afternoon in the qualifying round and hopefully again 8:45am on Sunday in the final. Conor Leaps 2.09 to smash Tailteann Games record

The prestigious Tailteann Games took place in Santry last Saturday with some exceptional performances from members of the club while representing their schools. The event is an inter-provincial schools competition with the top U16/17 athletes selected from each province based on their performances in earlier schools and club competitions. Fine performances at Galway City Sports

Craughwell NS excelled yet again at the Galway City Sports in Dangan with many fine performances and many athletes getting through to finals. The highlights of the day included relay gold for the U13 Girls 4x100m team with Maeve Desbonnet, Bethann Beattie, Realtín Ward and Leah Rabbitte; gold and silver for Conor Mannion and Jack Hibbitt in the U11 Boys 400m final; and gold for Laoise Colleran in the U13 Girls 100m.Check out the photos from the day below.

Conor Penney continued his remarkable high jumping on day 1 of the Galway Outdoor Championships in Dangan at the weekend when jumping a phenomenal 2.05m on his first attempt at the height to claim a new PB, having earlier taken the Galway U17 100m Hurdles title in a Championship record of 14.05.
