The man described by Jerry Keirnan as “the best sportsman ever to come out of Galway” is performing superbly in Beijing.. 3rd in his 1st heat and 1st in his second, he has a great chance of making it but he will need to run the race of his life and probably break his own Irish record in the Semi-Final. Sounds impossible but don’t bet against him!
