The best of luck to Evan Hallinan who travels to Spain today to compete with the Irish U20 team in the European U20 DNA international.  Ireland will compete in Madrid against the best U20s from Spain, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, France and Portugal where Evan will be in action in the high jump.

DNA (Dynamic New Athletics) is athletics with a difference – for example in the high jump, jumpers face each other in pairs and have to nominate a height without knowing what their opponent will nominate – then both jumpers have to jump that height and the one who jumps higher wins. So it’s a little like high-jump poker!
