The highlight of the Schools Athletics year took place last weekend in the hugely entertaining All-Ireland Schools Track and Fields finals in Tullamore and there were some extraordinary results from the Connacht Athletes. Conor Penney continued his remarkable high jumping on day 1 of the Galway Outdoor Championships in Dangan at the weekend when jumping a phenomenal 2.05m on his first attempt at the height to claim a new PB, having earlier taken the Galway U17 100m Hurdles title in a Championship record of 14.05.
