A big well done to Cathriona on receiving the Galway Bay FM Athletics Award 2014 at the weekend at the awards ceremony in the Loughrea Hotel. Cathriona was a close runner up in the Young Sportsperson of the Year Award, just missing out by 12 votes in the public text-voting competition which was won by powerlifter Olivia Lane. With over 5000 votes cast, it was a close battle between the 2 athletes.
