The last primary school cross country of the season took place in Renmore today with the annual Cumann na mBunscoil cross-country. The numbers were significantly higher than in the same event last year, a similar trend to the AAI primary schools cross country in September – a very good trend for the sport! 

Athletes from the club dominated the races, taking 3 of the four team titles on offer and a number of the individual trophies. The strongest race from the club’s perspective was the 6th class boys featured 4 of the club’s athletes in the top five – with a very strong run from Conor Gillen earning him 1st place. 

The following are the provisional results of the club’s athletes … note however that these are based on watching the race, hearsay, bragging, etc as I do not have the official results to hand yet!
