Cragg wins Stanford in 13:22
To get you in the mood for tonights 5k – it’s always good to see Irish athletes doing well and Cragg ran well to win the prestigous invitational in Stanford on saturday. The time was good – 13:22 – almost 7 seconds faster than the time Coughlan won the World 5k in Helsinki. This was despite a very slow middle third which meant they had to go a bit nuts in the final third of the race.
Note that the lad in 4th place is Josephat Boit who many will remember as the winner of 2008 streets of Galway and also the Longford half-marathon.
