Craughwell AC Big Opening Night This Thursday!

Craughwell AC Big Opening Night This Thursday!

Check it out – big opening night this THURSDAY 6.30pm of new entrance road and car-park, together with family fun run over half-mile loop together with launch of the club’s Lotto in association with Croi.

Craughwell AC is the largest juvenile club in the country, a remarkable statistic for a rural area.

We pride ourselves on being an all-inclusive club catering for children with all abilities, with an emphasis on a healthy body and mind especially amongst our growing youth/teenagers.

For those watching closely, you know how hard we are working towards developing our new facilities. We have so far done great to purchase our own site and have managed to produce great things with what we have BUT we have a bigger plan in place and we are determined to carry it out so the current members and future members will have as much benefits at their doorstep as all other clubs!!

But we now URGENTLY need your HELP!!!

As you will know through email or handouts or txt, we are supporting Croí BraveHearts Lotto. For every member who chooses to support the Lotto, your money is split 50-50 with Croí and Craughwell AC. It’s a win win for the club, for a charity that are doing tremendous work and a chance of a lotto win for you also. As an added incentive, if you subscribe for the year, you get membership of our sports and recreation park to jog or walk around it.

To celebrate the above union, Croí will be in attendance this Thurs 23rd in our own field to launch the lotto. There will be two Croí nurses in attendance providing a free pulse test. Additionally, the Order of Malta will be demonstrating first aid to the children and we also hope to have some Defibrillator demonstrations giving kids and parents an opportunity to watch and learn in case of an emergency.

Click on the picture to support our Lotto or go to and make sure to select Craughwell AC as the joint beneficiary.

On the same evening, we as a Club are also proudly inviting you and your friends/family to the official opening of our carpark and entrance roadway by Councillor Moegie Maher. The entrance roadway was taken public by the council last year with the financial support of 14 councillors for which the club is very grateful. This is a big milestone for the club and marks the beginning to the on-going development of our bigger plan.

We will also be inviting families to run, walk or jog for a half-mile loop of our 8 acres. This and other running routes are accessible to you as part of signing up each year for the BraveHearts Lotto … an annual subscription will cost €100 or you can pay quarterly.

So if you haven’t already supported this wonderful charity and of course the Club … please come along on that evening and receive some information on how you can help. We appreciate all the wonderful families that have got behind us so far to make what is in place happen. Croí will be presenting a cheque to the club on the night which goes directly to the current work.

So please, if you intend of supporting the club and have a charitable contribution at the same time we would greatly appreciate it as we can’t do this on our own.

And for those in business, we are in the process of finalizing some corporate sponsorship options and will be publicising detailed on same in the next 2 weeks.

Thank you kindly in advance and we look forward to seeing you all for our night of fun and celebration Thursday 23rd June at 6.30pm.
