Craughwell Marathon Details: 

This is a low key, self-sufficient marathon aimed at experienced marathon runners run in adherence to Marathon Club Ireland rules. 

  • Date Saturday 14th December 2013.
  • Start time: 9:30am.
  • To enter you MUST mail this contact: craughwellathletics@gmail.com
  • Number Pickup: Craughwell Community Hall from 8:30am to 9:15am.
  • Entry €20, pay on the day, surplus after costs will go to Craughwell Ac.
  • AAI approved & Permitted
  • Limited Entry.
  • Medal for all entries before Monday 4th November 12:00pm.
  • Post race refreshments in the Hall.
  • Changing Facilities available in the Hall.
  • Course is 8 loops 26.2Miles, Jones counter measured.
  • There is ample parking at the Community Centre.

Directions:

Craughwell Community Hall is located approx 100m from the level crossing on the R446 between Oranmore & Loughrea.  It is easily accessible by taking R446 from Oranmore or Loughrea.It can be accessed from the M6 via the Athenry exit, Craughwell is signposted from the junction.

The Meadow court is the nearest hotel but is probably more expensive, The Loughrea hotel & spa is only 6 miles from the start and is very straight forward drive,both are on this link:

This is a low key, self-sufficient half marathon time trial aimed at experienced runners who;

  • Number Pickup: Craughwell Community Hall from 8:30am to 9:15am.

Please note that The Half marathon time trial is an unofficial add on to our full marathon which is AAI permitted, The reason we open it to Club members is that we know they are insured to participate under their AAI membership insurance, If anyone is a paid up member of any AAI affiliated club (proof required) they too will be covered but unfortunately if you are not the half time trial is not an option however you may enter the full.
