Craughwell Community Games will take place in the main hurling field (Gilligan Park) on the May bank holiday Monday. The following events will take place that Monday:-

Preschool: 20m
U6s: 40m
U8s: 60m & 80m & 200m
U10s: 100m, 200m & hurdles
U12s: 100m, 600m & ball throw
U14s: 100m, 800m, hurdles, shot putt & javelin
U16s: 100m, 1500m and discus

The provisional timetable for the day is below. The following events will be organised at different times:-

• U12 Boys Long Puck (to be arranged with hurling management)
• U14 Girls Long Puck (to be arranged with hurling management)
• U14 Girls & Boys Long jump: Tuesday 8^th May at 8pm at the astro-turf
• U16 Girls & Boys Triple jump: Tuesday 8^th May at 8.30pm at the astro-turf
• U16 Girls & Boys High jump: Thursday 8^th May at 7pm in the hall

Athletes can step up an age for the field events if event is not available in their own age. The date cutoff for Community Games is 1^st August, i.e. the 1^st August or later is the perfect birthday. You must be under the age in July.

Relay teams for the Galway finals will be finalized at a later stage based on a number of factors including availability to attend some practice sessions for baton passing. There are relay teams for

• Boys U12, U14 and U16 teams   
• Girls U12, U14 and U16 teams
• Mixed boys/girls U10, U13, U15 and U16 teams
