Juvenile athletes from the club descended in hordes to Nenagh for the Galway Indoor Track & Field Championships at the weekend where they claimed a staggering total of 43 gold, 41 silver and 30 bronze medals – almost half of the medals on offer at the competition.

Particularly impressive were the following triple and double medal winners

• Ashley McDonnell 2nd in U15 Girls 800m and high jump and 3rd in 60m hurdles
• Brendan Gallagher 1st in U13 Boys 60m hurdles, 2nd in 60m and 3rd in long jump
• Caoimhe Reidy 1st in U10 Girls 60m and 2nd in 350m
• Cathriona Farrell 1st in U17 Girls long jump and high jump and 2nd in shot putt
• Claire Ryder 1st in U12 Girls long jump and high jump
• David Farrell 2nd in U14 Boys 60m and high jump and 3rd in 60m hurdles
• Eddie Madden 1st in U10 boys 60m and 350m
• Ella Bryan 2nd in U12 Girls long jump and high jump
• Grainne McDaid 1st in U10 Girls 350m and 3rd in 60m
• Katie O’Donoghue 1st in U14 Girls 60m hurdles and 3rd in 60m
• Linda Porter 1st in U14 Girls 800m and 3rd in 60m hurdles
• Micheál Hannon 1st in U14 Boys 800m, 2nd in shot putt and 3rd in long jump
• Niall Rooney 1st in U15 Boys 60m hurdles, 2nd in long jump and high jump
• Paul Fitzpatrick 2nd in U13 Boys high jump and 3rd in 600m
• Paul McGill 1st in U14 Boys 60m, 60m hurdles and shot putt
• Peter Treacy 1st in U13 boys 60m and long jump and 3rd in 60m hurdles
• Rachel Finnegan 1st in U17 Girls 60m hurdles and 2nd in long jump
• Ross Haverty 1st in U14 Boys high jump and 2nd in shot putt
• Sarah Helebert 1st in U15 Girls 60m hurdles, long jump and high jump
• Sinead Gaffney 2nd in U13 Girls long jump and 3rd in 60m hurdles
• Siobhan Gardiner 1st in U13 Girls high jump and 2nd in 60m hurdles
• Sophie Ralston 2nd in U17 Girls 60m hurdles and 3rd in high jump
• Thomas Keehan 1st in U15 Boys 60m, long jump and high jump

Also in the individual medals were – Brian Tarpey, Caoimhe Quill, Cathal Coppinger, Cathal Reidy, Conor Farrell, Conor Tarpey, Craig McGill, Debbie Kenny, Gabrielle Tobin, Gerry Fahy, James Greaney, Karen Roche, Kate Dundon, Liam Dundon, Liam Forde, Maeve Curley, Mairead McCann, Niall Broderick, Nicholas Sheehan, Orla Ryan, Padraic Hannon, Padraic Tobin, Patrick Prendergast, Paul Joyce, Ryan Ellis, Sarah Molloy, Sinead Treacy and Ursula Curley.

The club added to its silverware in the relays with 5 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze sets of team medals. The relay teams were completed by the following athletes together with many of the afore-named individual medal winners:-
