Craughwell Race To Victory in Inaugural Salthill Relays

In what will hopefully become an annual event, the inaugural Salthill 4 x 1mile relays took place in the grounds of St. Enda's College in Galway where the Craughwell quartet of Pádraic Tobin, Peadar Harvey, Conor Gillen and Finn Stoneman put in a fine performance to win the race in a time of 20.51 – over a minute clear of the 2nd place team. It was an impressive performance with the team’s splits featuring as 2nd (Peadar 4:58), 3rd (Conor 5:08), 4th (Finn Stoneman 5:12) and 10th (Pádraic 5:32) fastest miles of the day behind Irish international Gary Thorntons’s time of 4:50.
