With Jamie Fallon having recorded a massive 9 second PB of 4.10.16 at the IMC Greytones meet in May to break Peadar Harvey’s club senior record of 4.10.69, Damien O’Boyle bussed it up to Dublin yesterday to try to eclipse Jamie’s recent record.
And eclipse it he did with an exceptional 4.06.76, in the process knocking 5 seconds off his own PB for the distance. Such is the depth of talent for middle distance running in the club at the moment, one cannot predict how long the record will hold with several athletes capable of breaking it again in the coming weeks. Our youthful men’s squad have already smashed the club’s 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 4x100m and 4x400m records this year.
