Dominant performances on Juveniles Day 1!

HUGE results on Day 1 of the National Juveniles! After Day1, Craughwell won 2 Golds, 3 Silver and Two Bronze medals with a total of 8 Qualifiers to finals from the rounds. Currently they sit in 5th place out of the 183 clubs that competed.

Lauren Kelly kicked things off with an awesome Silver medal. Lauren was also a narrow 4th in the High Jump.

It only got better from there as Ronnie’s U16-U18 gang took the Hurdles to a new level, starting with Lauren Kilduff U17 and Rachel Warde U16 each winning famous Gold Medals in fantastic times against fierce competition. The U17 Boys race saw TWO on the podium with Conor Penney and Sean Hoade winning Silver and Bronze. Emma O’Donovan was an unlucky 4th in the hurdles.

Josh Whyte added a Silver in the Triple Jump with a fine leap of 12.04m.

In the U18 3000m Steeplechase, Luke O’Sullivan added to his National medal haul with a fine 10:00 Steeple for Bronze. Declan OI’Connell smashed his personal best qualifying for the finals of the 800m in a lifetime PB of 2:00.92, closely followed by a comfortable Keelan Moorhead. In the finals, both lads ran well but finished just outside the medals in 5th and 8th positions respectively.
