The McMillan running calculator is amazing, and Greg McMillan that runs that website is also the coach of probably Ireland’s best distance running prospect – Millungar’s Martin Fagan. This is an interesting video of Martin training at altitude this week ahead of a big cross country this weekend. He looks to be in good nick! They did 5 repeats of 1.1 miles at very hard pace.

By the way – I just confirmed that the European XC will be on telly on Sunday at about 1:00PM. Ireland have a pretty good team going over this time with Fagan, Ledwith and Carroll leading the way.
