Galway Cross Country Details

The club cross country season kicks off Sunday 7th Oct with the county juvenile even ages and junior/senior cross country championships in Loughream followed by day 2 for the uneven ages on Sunday 21st Oct at the same venue.

The juvenile races will start both days at 1pm

– day1 with the U10s followed by U12s, U14s, U16s and U18s. The junior and senior races will commence at 2.30pm (provisional time, could move earlier!).

– day2 with the U11s followed by U13s, U15s, U17s and U19s.

Please try to be there an hour before your race to jog the course, warm-up, get your race number etc. If you are trying to predict a start time, allow an average of 5 minutes per race as some of the older races may start boys and girls at same time).

To get to the course in Bushfield Loughrea, take the exit for Bullaun off the Loughrea by-pass and drive out that road past the golf club and about a mile (ish!) after the golf club, Bushfield is on the right hand side. If you end up going too far, you reach Bullaun so just swing around as you are not too far out of your way and you will find it quickly on the way back!
