On Thursday the Schools Action continued, this time with the Secondary Schools Combined Events finals in Athlone.  Siofra Davis and Leonore Church of Presentation College Athenry came 2nd and 3rd in the Senior Girls competition with Siofra winning Long-Jump and Shot Put and Leonore winning the 800m. Claudia Coyle delivered a super performance in the Minor Girls to come 5th with a dominant win in the 800m with Aisling Lavan in 10th.  

Oisin O’Donovan of St. Brigids Looughrea won a fantastic Silver in the First Year Boys with a good total of 1421 points.  Oisin was closely followed by clubmate Charlie Daniels of Clarin College (8th) and Zach Keane of Pres Athenry (13th).  Alan Warde put in a good performance to come 14th in the Minor Boys while Keelan Moorhead came 10th in the Inter Boys with a total of 2031 points.
