The Grey Lake 10k has only been running for a few years, but it is the Loughrea AC club race which is one of the oldest and most prestigous in the Country.  The Loughrea AC Club always put on an excellent show and it is one of the few races that has it all – quality, participation and a top class kids race.  

This year our neighboring club have had a tough time getting the date set due to the brilliant form of the County Hurlers.  It's set once again for an All-Ireland, however this time it's only the few Mayo and Donegal supporters that actually got tickets that will be affected. 

The action kicks off for the kids at 1:00pm – one of the biggest kids races in the country awaits those brave enough to take on the 1km loop.  Shortly afterward the Grey Lake 10k kicks off – across a challenging but fair hilly route.  It is scenic, but you won't really notice it as you motor through the hills.  The race is always well attended by Craughwel AC and this year will be no exception.  For more details see http://www.loughreaathleticclub.com/
