Juvenile Training Back in Full Swing

Juvenile Training Back in Full Swing

Juvenile training has resumed at the usual times on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Craughwell NS. Check out the juvenille information sheet for training times. The focus for many is the cross-country season, with the primary schools cross country first on the agenda. But also, several secondary school athletes are looking to the schools combined events in mid September or entering a winter program of strength training for the indoor season early next year.

There's something in the club for everybody and as always, we welcome new members. Children can join once they are either 7 years old or have started in first class in primary school.

The club has over 60 members in secondary school and over 160 in primary school.

If any parents wish to get involved in helping out, please don't be shy in letting us know (contact Michael Tobin @ 087 6591879). We're always under pressure for help as numbers in the club are growing all of the time. So even if you know nothing about the sport, all you need is enthusiasm and you will learn plenty about it if you get involved.

If you're not interested in coaching, we'll still find a role for you if you want to help out. For example, digging out the long jump pit or carrying up the high jump mats from the shed to the astroturf!
