As we get within a month of this year's Craughwell 10-mile road race, another well established local race is an essential part of the build-up.   Kilconieron is an accurately measured race over 5 miles on a s scenic a route as you will find anywhere in east Galway.  The course is quick, but still undulating enough to pose a challenge.  This epic picture of Peter and Martin was taken at it last year by John O'Connor and is still one of my favourite road race pictures.
