Excitement is mounting amongst the club’s athletes as the Galway Indoors approaches on Sunday 24th January. Always a brilliant day of action with the fabulous Athlone indoor arena electrified by the energy of hundreds of athletes young and old. Its always a big day for Craugwell AC who will have 200 or more athletes in action.

So get your entries in now to your age group coordinators who are at the moment getting the information together for their age groups. The following events are available in each age group:-

• U10 60m, 400m, Long Jump, 4x100m
• U11 60m, 600m, Long Jump, 4x100m
• U12 60m, 600m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, Hurdles, 4x100m
• U13 60m, 600m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, Hurdles, 4x100m
• U14 60m, 800m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, Hurdles, Walk, 4x200m
• U15 60m, 800m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, Hurdles, Walk, 4x200m
• U16-17 60m, 800m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, Hurdles, Walk, 200m, 4x200m
• U18-Senior 60m, 800m, Long Jump, High Jump, Shot Putt, Hurdles, Walk, 200m, 3000m, 4x200m

Each year its nice also to see a large number of our athletes a year older and making such great progress at the sport. Here’s a shot of some of this year’s U17s  when competing in the indoors as U12s in 2011.
