Lost your Nintendo DS at Dublin Marathon?
Fantastic weather brought some superb PBs all around yesterday on the streets of Dublin. Matt Bidwell led the way home for Galway-based runners with a superb 2:28. There were many great stories from Craughwell athletes, but I won't single anyone out here until I get the full list of those that participated. Well done to all who took on the monumental distance. From what I heard the excellent conditions worked both for and against people – in some cases people felt "this is my chance" and made the crucial marathon mistake of going out too hard. I look forward to reading the race reports in the days and weeks to come.
The world is full of nice people, despite what you might hear. I just got a phone call from one of them who said that a kid in a group that was cheering a Craughwell athlete left behind a small bag containing a Nintendo DS and a huge collection of Games. If anyone has any idea who this might be, could you let me know and I'll give you the contact details of the "finder".
