Maeve Curley proudly represented Ireland last week at the European Junior Track & Field Championships in Tallinn, Estonia where she raced to a magnificent 10th place in the 10000m race walk amongst Europe’s best.  Maeve’s time of 51.22.82 was just marginally outside her PB in tough weather conditions which saw just 3 of the 24 competitors equal or better their PBs. It was a fantastic performance by the Craughwell athlete and hopefully the first of many major internationals for Maeve.

Maeve's selection for these champinships came after some fantastic performances in a number of internationals in recent months, in particular in Dudince in the Slovak Republic in March where she achieved the qualification standard when racing to a new PB of 50:55 for the 10k distance.
