It was with great sadness that the club heard of the death this morning of Mary Ryan after a period of ill-health over the last few weeks. Mary is mum to Mary Porter, mother-in-law to Thomas and granny to Lisa, David, Linda and Laura.

Many of our members and parents will have met Mary down through the years for she was an ever-present when her talented grandchildren were competing with the club as juveniles. She was an absolute lady to everyone she met, kind and gentle and always with a friendly word and a smile on her face. She will be very much missed by all who knew her and especially her close-knit family.

On behalf of the club and on my own behalf, I wish to convey our deepest sympathies to Mary, Thomas, Lisa, David, Linda and Laura. May she rest in peace. Funeral details are on rip.ie.
