Master Class from the fab-four!

Craughwell AC have built a fantastic Masters Sprint team under the mentorship of Ronnie Warde over the last couple of years and the guys sent a strong quartet to contest on Saturday in oppressive heat.  Ronnie Warde led from the front with a superb win in the M40 100m in 12:00 flat and Silver in the 200m.

Brian Malone must be the most improved Sprinter in Galway and he echoed his coach, driving home for a convincing win in the M45 100m and also winning Silver in the 200m.

Cormac Kearney won both the M45 long jump and the high jump and took a narrow Silver in the 100m, just behind his clubmate Brian.

Dave Mulligan won Silver in the M35 100m.  The final event was a high standard 4x100m relay in which the team ran well and won Bronze.

Athletics isn’t all about pounding the roads (though that’s fun too!). If you are interested in joining what is perhaps the best Masters sprint group in Ireland and learning to run faster at any age – get in touch with Ronnie and he will be very happy to get you started.
