This was the second meet of the outdoor season for Damian and the Cowboy’s Distance Squad having opened their season at Home in Lake Charles two weeks previously.
Damian took on the 3000m at that meet, along with teammates Nathan Jones and Enrique Soto, finishing in an outdoor Best of 8:44.67 only marginally slower than the time he recorded indoors a few weeks earlier. The switch from indoor racing and Air Conditioning to the Heat and Humidity of the Deep South, showing evident for all 3 men, even as they went 1-2-3.
